Food and Diet

Food and DietFood and diet have everything to do with how you feel daily!

If you want to feel your best and have energy, you have to consider the way you fuel your body. If you are eating too much junk food or sugary food, and relying on caffeine to get you going all the time, you are rapidly depleting your body’s health and vitality. Why not try a different approach to eating? One based on raw foods?

Raw foods are better than cooked, refined or processed foods for a number of reasons. They contain more important nutrients than a food which is changed, so they supply our bodies with vitamins, minerals and anti-oxidants, and they contain enzymes, which not only help us break down and use our food, but which stop us from aging and help us fight disease. Enzymes cannot survive cooking or pasteurizing, which is why they are not present in most refined foods.

Another great reason to start eating raw is because many of the so-called staple foods, or commodity foods, such as wheat, corn, soy, and dairy products are irritating to our bodies and clogging for our digestive systems. When we eat a food which is abrasive to our systems, we end up not feeling well or having the amount of energy we should. This can cause us to reach for a supplement and lock us into a cycle of eating poorly and compensating with more unhealthy stimulants. The best thing you can do for yourself is stop living this way and start eating a raw food diet.

Your food and diet can reflect the very best in you!

Healthy, natural, fruits, nuts, seeds, vegetables, and non-glutinous grains can keep us feeling and looking wonderful. Far from a cookie or a cracker, whole foods contain living cells, cancer fighting properties, and other qualities which help keep us youthful, full of health and even in a better mood. Irritating foods don’t just hurt our bodies, they mess with our emotions, too. When we are tired or unhealthy, we tend to be unhappy as well. This is just one more way we miss out on all that life has to offer.

By choosing natural fare, we also connect more with our food; we can begin to become more conscious of where it comes from and all of the things it means to us. Some things commonly tied to food are a sense of comfort, home, family, familiarity, safety and pleasure. These associations are the reason many people eat, even when they are not hungry. As you begin to discover for yourself what food means to you, you may find it easier to control your appetites and cravings, and you will ultimately eat healthier, and less often.

The other thing to remember is that food comes from nature. Although humans manipulate, cultivate, and even chemically change it, the earth is where all food ultimately begins. Unfortunately, most of us believe that food really just comes from the grocery store. When we eat something, we don’t tend to think of it in its original state or consider the processes it has undergone in order to get to us. This lack of conscientiousness is why so many of the worst food raising and farming practices continue to exist and pollute our environment.

Your diet should reflect what is healthy, alive, and aware in you. That is what Eating for Energy is all about. You can start living and eating in a way that helps and improves your body, so that you no longer have to supplement for energy, and you don’t find yourself feeling tired in the middle of your day. You can also eat with awareness, and feel good about what you eating, because you begin to reconnect with food at its source.

Food and diet are the keys to looking and feeling great!

Feeling your best should never require expensive vitamins or energy supplements. It should come from inside you, when your body is receiving the proper support from a raw food. Food energy is the only boost you need, as long as you put away the things that are making your body ill, tired or irritated and start giving it the nutrients it needs to build muscle, burn fat, and maintain a healthy immune system.  That is why you should begin a new lifestyle right now.

The longer you wait and continue to fill yourself with toxins and food additives, the harder it will be to heal your body and end your attachments to these harmful foods. If you make a commitment to eating raw right now, however, you come one step closer to the person you really want to be. I know, truly, we all want to be as healthy, happy, and alive as possible. No one wants to suffer the ailments, diseases, and chronic exhaustion brought on by a poor diet. No one deserves to suffer that way, either.

The problem is that we all eat the foods which are most familiar and comforting to us. When we are raised on an unhealthy diet, breaking free and beginning a new lifestyle is just that much harder… but you CAN do it! Even if you are totally new to eating raw, you can get rid of your dependence on refined groceries and start eating better. My eBook, Eating for Energy, can help.

Energy Foods

raw food detoxYou can feel better than ever with these five energy foods!

Most people don’t realize how much their vitality depends on a healthy diet. When you constantly eat processed or cooked foods, you tend to deprive yourself of the number one benefit eating provides: energy. Instead, your food may be having the opposite effect; it may be making you dull, overweight and tired. The answer is simple: If you want to feel right, eat right.

To maintain and heal itself, your body relies on certain nutrients it only gets from food. Many of the vitamins and minerals most essential to your well-being come from outside sources. This includes one of the leading agents in your body’s fight against aging and disease: Enzymes. Without them, you could not eat, drink, think or move. Everything you do and are has something to do with enzymes.

All living foods contain enzymes, which help with digestion and assimilation of food and speed reactions between cells in your body. Any time a food is cooked or processed, though, it loses these vital nutrients. Unfortunately, the majority of people eat more cooked or refined food than fresh, living foods. If you actually want to feel good, lose weight and stop experiencing low energy and crashes, this must change.

Not only are you becoming overweight and tired from the foods you eat, you are setting yourself up for serious complications. Lupus, diabetes and even cancer can result from eating too poor a diet for too long. The time to change is now.

All you have to do is eat more whole, living foods. Taking in raw fare is easier than you think. Each day you make a choice between healing and illness; fresh, life-giving fruits, vegetables, nuts and seeds, and dead, preservative laden items. All you have to do is make the sensible decision. Instead of candy or other snacks try one of the following amazing energy foods: raw soaked almonds, avocado, papaya, spinach, kale, or raw cacao.

Energy foods work your body!

Eating raw is important if you want to feel alert and ready for your day. You will find fresh foods don’t just give you more energy, they provide the kind of energy that lasts and lasts. This is not true for any energy supplement.

The reason a raw food diet works so well is because your body immediately recognizes and knows how to use the ingredients in raw fare. Instead of fighting off toxins and food additives which enter the system when you eat a processed item, your digestion can remain focused on breaking down and using vital nutrients. This means your body can focus more on healing damaged cells and tissue, and keeping you young and fit.

The five energy foods listed above are particularly great for those just getting used to a raw food diet. Moving too quickly into raw food can cause gas and bloating, but the foods above will make you feel full and satisfied, cleanse your body, and provide a number of important cleansing and healing nutrients, especially vitamin E and antioxidants. Eating them raw means you get digestive enzymes along with your food. As these build in your body, they help fight signs of aging, heal your digestive system, and ensure that you get the maximum amount of nutrients from everything you eat.

Plus, these are foods which provide maximum energy and taste great. They are easy to break down and digest, and that means you will experience fewer symptoms as you transition from processed foods to eating raw. I know how uncomfortable and strange it is for most people to make this step, but I want it to be easy. That is why I wrote the Eating for Energy eBook. If you want great tips and guidance to lead you off of a refined-food diet, you can find it, along with other the information you will need, in my online booklet. I wrote it specifically to inspire people to live a healthier lifestyle, and in it, I tell you exactly how and why to do so.

Get energy foods in your diet right now!

There is no reason to wait. The sooner you start eating for energy, the better you are going to feel and the more likely you are to continue to increase your intake of healthy items each day. You can start to change your food and diet right now, and all it takes is a commitment to incorporating more raw fare into your daily habits. This means eating fresh fruit for breakfast, raw vegetables for lunch or raw nuts and seeds at snack time.

It doesn’t matter how you do it, or how big a change you make to start with, what matters is that you start making a change. Instead of a bowl of cereal in the morning, why not blend an avocado with fresh berries, a tablespoon of flax seed and a little water? This is a great, easy way to eat an energy filled, healthy breakfast. It will jump start your metabolism, lift your mood, and help your body stay feeling great throughout the day.

There is really no need for most of us to eat a heavy breakfast of eggs, bacon and toast. In fact, eating this way only sets you up for heart disease and cancer. If you choose a light, reasonable breakfast containing whole foods, your day will go better, plus you can rest assured that your body is going to be healthy for a long time to come.

Because, let’s face it, the real reasons to eat well are not weight loss, good looks, or anything of the sort. The real reason you should take in more raw foods and enzymes is because they keep you healthy and alive and honor the wonderful body you have been given. When you take good care of yourself, you feel good about yourself, and that means you can enjoy a longer, more quality life.

Think of how great your body will feel if you eat whole, fresh foods each day. You would feel better about yourself and the choices you make, and that will translate into true happiness. The truth is, You can choose to bring more life-giving food into your diet right now. If you are ready, don’t waver, start eating energy foods and see how healing and wonderful they can be!

Food Energy

Food EnergyFood energy comes from eating raw!

One thing you have to know about eating for energy is that raw food will give you hours of energy each day, and keep you healthy and alert when you need it. If you have ever experienced the tiredness and sluggish thinking which come along with a heavy, processed meal, you already have some idea of what I am talking about. Processed food will either sit like a lump in your stomach for hours, bogging down your mind and body, or it will break down too quickly, supplying you with the short-lived jolt of a sugar rush, followed by a grumpy, low energy crash. These cycles are bad for you, both in the long term and the day to day.

There is no reason to live this way. A better alternative already has come into being. In fact, there is nothing new about it. You already know food is energy, but not all food is created equal. Some foods, like raw vegetables, fruits, nuts, seeds, and non-glutinous grains, provide your body with a steady supply of vitamins, minerals, enzymes and antioxidants to keep you healthy, fight disease, and make sure your muscles, bones, and everything else stay in top shape. Unfortunately, the further these foods get from their natural state, the more of their benefits they lose. This causes the growing number of problems  found to be inherent in a processed diet.

As an increasing number of people over the world begin to eat the way North Americans have been for the last three or four decades, something disturbing is happening: The human population is becoming increasingly obese, diabetes is spreading like wild fire, and heart disease and cancer continue to be on the rise. Much of the cause of this can be found in the way our food is prepared and preserved. It becomes stripped of its natural benefits, nearly devoid of fiber, and is often heavily infused with sugar, salt, dyes, flavorings and other chemical preservatives. And these problems are above and beyond the toxins which come with industrialized farming. Is it any wonder people feel tired, irritable, and rely on energy supplements to get through the day? Our diets are not just making us fat, they are killing us!

Eating Well Makes Food Energy Last!

A raw food diet is different. It is the answer to your unhealthy lifestyle, a way of living that can make you feel youthful and alive again, and ensure that you have all the energy  you need without caffeine or other supplements. Raw foods, alone, provide one of the most essential nutrients in our diets, enzymes.

Many of you have heard of enzymes at one point or another, but few of you know how important these proteins are for every function your body performs. Enzymes speed reactions between cells, aid digestion, and keep you young and healthy. Much like antioxidants, enzymes fight off aging and disease, but they do a lot more. Without the proper enzymes in our stomachs, processing food isn’t possible. Any time a food is cooked, heated, or otherwise processed, the risk of the enzymes being killed and nutrients being leaked is very high.

That is why eating raw food is so much better for you. When you eat an apple or a celery stick, you are taking in water, nutrients, and living cells. These foods are known to fight cancer, heart disease, diabetes, and obesity; diseases which are currently on the rise all over the world. With the tragedy of our current diets becoming ever more apparent, there is no reason to keep eating toxic food. You can change your diet and your lifestyle, all you have to do is desire to feel better and then be willing to do what it takes to make that happen. This means leaving processed foods alone and committing to eating raw and exercising.

Food Energy is Energy for Life!

Eating energy foods is the best way to take care of yourself day to day. When you take in proper nutrients from whole, raw foods, your body will be able to maintain and heal itself much better. This means that you will get sick less often, you will no longer feel groggy after a meal, and you won’t find that you are tired in the middle of your day. You will no longer need caffeine and other supplements to do what you need to. You can count on reliable, sustained energy from the healthiest source imaginable!

how can I improve my diet, energy, and well-beingThe most important thing we do for ourselves each day is eat. What we eat, then, is of particular priority. Yummy Raw Food Recipes

raw food detoxYummy Raw Food Recipes get you going!

Eating a raw food diet does not mean you won’t enjoy eating. With the right recipes, you can have all the pleasant tastes you love, along with perfect, healing nutrition. This means less weight gain, more energy, and an overall healthier lifestyle. First, you have to know how to prepare raw foods in a way that satisfies and excites you. If you learn to love putting delicious, whole foods into your body, sticking with a healthy diet plan will be much easier.

In my Eating For Energy eBook, I give you a ton of great advice on how to prepare and eat raw foods. I include several wonderful recipes, too. Obviously, I meant these for those who purchased my book and made a commitment to eating raw for health and the planet; however, this is too important to keep secret. I want you to try a few recipes because I think that doing so will encourage you. Once you see that eating raw is not that hard and is actually enjoyable, you won’t want to go back to your old diet.

In this article I am going to share one of my favorite raw food recipes. It is easy to make and absolutely delicious, plus it gives the antioxidant and enzyme benefits only raw, natural foods can. First, however, I want to take you through some of the basics of this eating-style. Mostly, I want to discuss what you should eat and what you shouldn’t eat, and why. Then, you will recognize why this recipe is so wonderful, and that will make you want to try it even more.

I believe one of the most important parts of a healthy lifestyle is the mental and emotional satisfaction that comes from knowing you are treating yourself well. By staying healthy, you are letting your body know it is precious to you, and that is just like telling yourself you are unique and important. When you get excited about eating raw, you will lower your stress levels, increase your confidence and boost your immune system. Eating well and living well means thinking highly of yourself.

Yummy raw food recipes replace junk food.

Some of the most common foods in the diet include dairy products, meat, refined sugar and refined flours. Just think about the American diet. We eat a lot of processed food, like crackers, cookies, and breads. We also eat more cheese than most other nations, and we tend to put corn and sugar in just about everything. We also eat meat in nearly every meal. And not just fresh meat, but treated and cured meats, which may contain nitrates. In short, our food comes from a highly controlled and profitable industry, that literally manufactures food by stripping it of fiber, filling it with preservatives and other additives, and marketing it with sugar.

Hopefully, I don’t have to go into too much detail about why these processed foods are bad. Aside from the numerous additives, the general lack of fiber and high amounts of sugar, many of these foods cause our bodies to become acidic, kill off the natural bacteria keeping your digestive system healthy, and create the conditions for a number of diseases. The better alternative: A natural, plant-based diet.

Raw fruits, vegetables, nuts and seeds are the better way to eat. Not only do they come with plenty of fiber, but they have active enzymes, vitamins, minerals, and juices that cleanse and heal your body. This is the way eating for energy is supposed to be. Food is not just something that fills you up or satisfies an urge: food is life. What you eat can mean the difference between a long, productive life, and a life spent ill, tired, or in pain.

Therefore, the recipe I am about to give you, and all of the recipes in my eBook contain healthy, living, whole food ingredients. They are designed to utilize the best and healthiest items, so that every time you eat, you take in healing and nourishment. Don’t worry, you don’t have to compromise taste or pleasure to do this. That is not what this lifestyle is about. I don’t expect you to forever swear off ice cream, or force feed yourself foods you don’t like. What I want to show you is that you can be a healthy eater, and a happy one, too.

Yummy Raw Food Recipes make great desserts, too!

This yummy chocolate mousse recipe is one I have blogged about before. I like it because it tastes rich and satisfying, yet contains the benefits of raw food, without dairy, additives or other strange ingredients. Plus, it shows how simple recipes can and should be. It takes absolutely no cooking skills, or any other special knowledge. All you need is raw, real ingredients and a food processor or blender.

Notice how you use no animal products and how the ingredients, though they may require some initial investment, are lasting, and you don’t need to use that much. If you buy your food in bulk from an organic health food store, and store it correctly, your food bill should increase only slightly, if at all. Processed food seems cheap and accessible, but notice how little it fills you up and sustains you. It isn’’t worth it. Just try this recipe at home and see for yourself:

Raw Chocolate Mousse:

1 cup water

½ cup walnuts (unsoaked)

4 dates (pitted not soaked)

2 tbsp cacao powder

1 tsp vanilla extract

½ tsp cinnamon

¼ tsp nutmeg

1. Put 1 cup of water in your high speed blender (or food processor) then add enough walnuts to bring it up to 1 1/2 cups and blend until smooth.

2. Add the rest of the ingredients and blend until smooth

See how simple it is? This and other plant based food recipes are waiting for you in my Eating for Energy eBook. For now, try this for dessert instead of a bowl of ice cream and see how satisfying it can be. No refined sugar, no dairy, no artificial flavoring, just naturally delicious, ingredients; that is what yummy raw food recipes should be!

Plant based food recipes

eating for energy by yuri elkaimPlant based food recipes help you eat great everyday!

If you want to know how you can eat a diet based on natural, plant foods, you have come to the right place. My raw food diet philosophy is based on the idea that what we eat makes all the difference, and I believe whole, plant based foods are the secret to healing and good health. The recipes I can share with you in this article are a direct reflection of my own research; research that shows, without a doubt, a diet filled with raw fruits, vegetables, nuts and seeds will make you live a longer, healthier, more energetic lifestyle.

Making the transition away from meat, dairy, and processed food is tough. For many people, it involves forming new habits, thinking differently about food in general, and knowing what to eat instead. Unless you have been at this for a while, you are probably wondering where to start. Don’t worry, it is perfectly normal to need a guide as you cross over into this new territory. The journey may seem daunting at first, but it is absolutely worth it. After a time you should find it easy to eat well.

One reason so many people start eating raw and continue to do it, is because they suddenly realize what they were missing. The energy that comes from this kind of a lifestyle will completely surprise you. You may not know it, but, when you eat the wrong things, food is your biggest enemy. It can make you feel exhausted, sluggish, irritable, and even ill. The trick is to realize that food can also be your best friend, as long as you know what you are doing. The recipes I am about to share will tell you just how you can do make sure food works for you and not against you. This is the key to tapping into your body’s natural healing power.

Plant based food recipes are not as hard as you think.

Don’t worry, the ingredients are not going to be complex, expensive or unobtainable. Usually, when I talk to people about eating for energy, they mention that their biggest concern is that they either cannot afford the foods they need, can’t find them, or flat out won’t like them.

First of all, we all have different tastes, and I can’t guarantee you will like all the foods I recommend, but I can promise you that I use as many simple, common ingredients as possible. Second, while I do tend to use some tropical fruits that may be hard to get in certain areas during certain seasons, I assure you, you always have choices. Finally, nothing I suggest is bizarre or especially expensive.
Therefore, your biggest barrier comes from within. Can you teach your body what to eat and what foods to like? Fruits, vegetables, nuts and seeds are all flavorful, delicious, wonderful foods, but if your taste buds are used to rich, fatty, salty, sugary snacks, it can make even the sweetest most vibrant plant foods seem bland. This doesn’t mean you can’t learn to enjoy raw, whole foods. Once you sit down with fresh produce, you will notice all the flavors you never thought were there. I promise, you will chew your food longer, and feel better about everything you put in your body.

When I sit down to a meal, I look at the foods before me. I like to notice the color and the shape of them. I like to think about where they came from, and then I like to consciously enjoy them. This helps me have a better relationship with my food and myself. As I write in my Eating for Energy Ebook, this also means I am creating a better relationship with the earth. My Ebook also includes a bunch of great recipes and some very useful advice for anyone interested in a raw food diet.

Eating for energy recipes should make you excite about eating raw!

Eating for energy is not about restrictions, starvation, or choking down bad tasting foods. If it were, no one could keep doing it. That is not what I want. I don’t want to introduce you to another diet or fad, I want to help you begin a new lifestyle. That means transitioning to a way of living, eating and thinking that sees food differently. I want you to think of food as your first and best defense against illness, disease, exhaustion, and other ailments. I hope to help you understand the amazing benefits a natural, plant based diet can provide.

To understand, you need to realize a few things about your body, and how it naturally fights of aging and disease with amazing little proteins known as enzymes. In your body, enzymes are important in every function. They speed reactions between cells, helping you heal, digest, move and fight illness and other invaders more efficiently. You are born with a finite amount of them, and you deplete them with time unless you replace them with foods. Only raw, natural foods contain enzymes. Cooking and processing destroys them.

Chemically altering a food can also deplete it of other nutrients. That is why, if you eat a processed diet, many of the vitamins and minerals you currently get from food are added back in. They are supplements at that point, and less effective than they would be if you were getting them from whole foods. For instance, fiber, one of the essential nutrients Americans lack most is usually stripped from processed foods to help preserve them. Adding it back in supplement form never really makes up for this. The best way to get enzymes, vitamins, and minerals from foods is to eat them in the most natural state possible.

That is why I stress eating raw. A raw plant food has living cells and nutrients that keep you strong, replace enzymes, and fight aging free radicals. If you want to be radiant and energetic on the outside, you have to start on the inside. You have to make sure your body is the best it can be, and then your mental and physical energy will soar. You won’t ever want to go back to your old lifestyle.

Even though in our hearts we are ready to have more energy and we understand the role food must play in a better, healthier lifestyle, letting go of old habits still feels daunting. If you face this problem, don’t worry. I am offering you a raw food diet that can and will help you.

It may comfort you to know you are not alone, and a lot of your cravings and habits are not entirely your fault. As a society, we rarely talk about the addictive aspect of food; how our bodies can grow dependent on certain substances and additives, especially sugar and caffeine. Unfortunately, the most common foods available contain ingredients our brains and bodies come to desire. Salt, sugar, trans fats, refined flours, certain flavorings and other ingredients not only harm us, they hook us, and we begin to crave them.

Unfortunately, you likely grew fond of these substances long before you really had the choice. The standard American diet is literally loaded with sugar and other refined ingredients. Your parents ate it, and then they fed it to you. The challenge comes from undoing all of that conditioning and learning to love natural, raw food. It is the only way to achieve lasting weight loss, energy, and better health.

Why raw food? Because raw fruits, vegetables, nuts, seeds, and grains provide whole, balanced nutrition. When I say whole nutrition, I mean they contain no supplements, and are not, the way a cracker or a loaf of bread is, fragmented. Fragmented foods include things such as grain without fiber, or bits of corn fortified with vitamin extracts. A whole food comes fully intact, and for this reason, it yields nutrients beyond anything a processed item ever could. When you remove the old, habit-forming junk in your diet, and replace it with real, natural fare, you make the most important change possible: you begin a whole new lifestyle.

A raw food energy plan is more than a diet.

You are looking for a new diet plan, but what you really need is a new perspective on food. Eating for energy is more than a diet, it is a way of thinking that spills over into everything you do. You learn to love and appreciate food again, instead of taking it for granted.

The only reason you may not have truly thought about what you eat and where it comes from is because it has simply always been there. We have grocery stores filled with boxes and cans of edible items. Our food industry produces these in droves, and we gobble them up greedily. The problem, as I hope you are coming to see, is that this abundance is an illusion. It is a matter of quantity over quality, and it is fueled by a desire for profit. Human health, the most basic function of food, is no longer considered.

The results are all around us. We see them not only in the rise in preventable diseases, such as cancer, diabetes, and obesity, but in the toll the food industry takes on our environment. Not only are humans sick and getting sicker, the world we depend on is suffering. It is time for a major shift.

Eating for energy with raw food can help you make the transition you need, and the changes our whole planet needs. Not only will your body begin to get age and disease fighting nutrients and enzymes, it will stop having to fight off the pesticides, herbicides, colors and other chemicals which run rampant in the processed food supply. As you decrease your consumption of such items, you decrease the demand for them, also. You help remove them from the environment, and that is best for you and everyone around you, too.

Creating and sticking with a raw food energy plan is easier than you think.

The great thing about eating raw is that once you make the decision, not much can stop you. Eating raw is easy. Yes, it requires planning, but no more than your other meals. The simplest part comes from choosing raw fruits and vegetables as snack foods, and making no-fuss meals of salads or soaked grains. Rather than limiting your options, as most people expect, raw food gives you a plethora of choices.

My eBook, Eating for Energy, provides meal plans and recipes for even the least talented in the kitchen; however, you can and should start to eat raw on your own, right now. How about a piece of fruit for breakfast? Or a salad for lunch? Even if you start by eating one raw food a day, you will be doing better than many people. Of course, I would like to see you take this even further.

I think, once you experience raw food diet increased energy, you will understand why eating this way makes such a huge difference. You can see the power, clear thinking, and endless vitality it provides. People who eat refined foods, drink too much caffeine, and take poor care of themselves, seem to reflect their bad choices. They experience fluctuating moods, weight problems and health problems. They are never as vibrant and happy as they can be.

Living in a world that is conscientious, kind, and optimal for human development, means having as many people as possible realize and live out their total potential. When we feel our best, we give others our best, and we have the energy and optimism to shape our worlds for the better. I want you and everyone to know what this is like. I believe, when humans care for themselves, they will better care for the earth and all the plants and animals on it. A raw food energy plan is more than just a diet or a change in the way you eat, it is a change in our entire lifestyle; it means a whole new way of looking at ourselves, our food, and our environment.

Raw food diet increased energy

does a raw diet improve your energyRaw food diet increased energy will totally amaze you!

Having more energy is not only possible, it is as easy as picking up an apple and taking a bite. A diet based on raw fruits, vegetables, nuts, seeds, and grains provides more lasting energy than a cup of coffee, an energy shot, or a protein bar could ever even hope to give. Energy, health, renewed vigor, mental clarity, and optimism all come from a rich, whole-food diet.

Only raw foods provide essential nutrients, like enzymes, and only a well-balanced diet can keep your digestive system healthy enough to absorb and use vitamins, minerals, and other benefits included in the things you eat. Cooking, processing, stripping food of fiber, and filling it with salt, sugar, flavor, and color, just deprives it of its natural healing and cleansing powers. If you want to feel great, live a long life, and be free of disease, eating raw is your answer.

First of all, raw food contains an optimal balance of what your body needs to stay healthy. Only when a food is intact, does it retain digestive helpers, known as enzymes. An enzyme is a protein essential in every function of your body. It speeds reactions between cells, making your digestion and assimilation of food more efficient, and helping your body fight of disease by fueling your immune system. If you want to feel your best, you have to remember that your body is a complex machine.

The human body is not only incredibly intricate and capable of amazing operations, it is geared for self-maintenance. As long as it has the proper fuel, your body can heal itself, regenerate, and keep working long into your years. Exhaustion and illness are not inherent in aging, but are actually the accumulated symptoms of a poor lifestyle. With a proper diet, many of the most common ailments are one hundred percent preventable. All you have to do is begin eating raw and you will see for yourself.

Raw food diet increased energy is waiting for you!

Don’t fool yourself into thinking the transition is too hard, you don’t have time, or that basing your meals around raw food is just too hard. Like everything, there is a period of time when you have to get used to doing things differently, but this short phase is not in the least unbearable, and it is absolutely worthwhile. Just imagine putting all that energy you spend going through a drive thru or to the grocery store for a box of crackers, into chopping fresh foods for a salad instead.

The key is to have great recipes, an open mind, and a good imagination. There are many, many foods available to all of us, especially those of us living in North America. You can and should have a diverse diet, full of different fruits and vegetables, and teeming with enzymes, antioxidants, vitamins, minerals and phyto-nutrients. You should be able to feel fantastic about what you are putting in your body every time you sit down to eat. Don’t you agree?

Well then do something about it. Try eating raw. You can start by checking out my eBook, Eating for Energy, or by simply setting up a meal plan on your own. It is not hard. Apples, oranges, carrots, kale, parsley, pumpkin seeds, juice-sweetened, preservative-free dried fruits, sesame seeds, and broccoli, are just a few suggestions. In the long term, you will want some better recipes, which you can find in my book, but right now you can begin on your own, eating raw, without spending a penny.

It is that easy, and I want you to do it, because I know that once you get a taste of what eating for energy does for you, you will only want more. When you experience giving your body delicious, life-affirming foods, your mental, emotional and physical well-being will greatly improve. I believe everyone deserves the chance to feel and look their best every single day.

Raw food diet increased energy fills you with life!

There really is only one way to kick your unhealthy eating habits, have increased vitality, sleep better, and be better at everything you do, and it is through changing what you eat. Food and medicine are not really separate. They can and should be one in the same. Your digestive system is primed to absorb everything you eat and turn it into energy, healing, and life. All you have to do is give it the proper ingredients.

Unfortunately, in today’s world, nothing seems harder. Although we have an abundance of healthy foods, few of us make the right decision to eat healthy. Processed food is more heavily advertised, easier to store, and cheaper than many healthier items. I know how available and tempting it can be; that doesn’t mean you have to follow the crowd, however.

You can be someone who rejects the standard, processed, sugar-filled diet so many have become used to. You can begin to change yourself, and, as you do, you will also influence those around you. By choosing natural, organic foods, you say no to pesticides, unnecessary food additives, and a massive food industry whose practices fill our rivers and oceans with deadly, environmentally hazardous chemicals. All the while, you will be cleansing and clearing your own precious body of these same toxins.

With no-fuss diet and meal plans to increase energy, you get to increase the health of yourself and the world around you. Of course, we humans cannot survive without our planet, anymore than we can live without our bodies. Is it any wonder, then, that as our bodies become fattier, sicker, and more tired, our planet, too, displays disturbing symptoms? Our internal environments become direct reflections of our outer worlds, and vice versa. I think the connection is both obvious and alarming.

I hope as you read this article, you sense some of the same things, and that you develop a commitment to yourself and to the planet. I hope you realize when you treat your body as a special, sacred space and fill it with great food, you are promoting a lifestyle that is actually better for the whole world; because raw food diet increased energy is all about you, and you are vitally connected to everything that exists.

Raw Superfoods

raw food dietRaw superfoods give you the boost you need!

Even among raw fruits and vegetables there are some which stand out. Superfoods are those foods which contain densely packed nutrition, few calories, and seem to heal the body, boost the immune system and stave off disease. These include some you may have already heard about, such as nori and other sea vegetables, and a few you may not have realized, such as avocado and sesame seeds. Hopefully, I can convince you not only to eat these foods, but make you more interested in how you can use them in your daily diet.

As I mentioned before, a superfood is nutritionally dense. Often, it combines healing benefits with lower calories and increased fiber. These qualities help you regulate your digestive system, maintain a healthy weight, and yield some cleansing properties when you ingest them; but low calories are not always an indicator. For instance, an avocado can contain 300 or more calories. At the same time, it is a filling, nutritional powerhouse that makes transitioning to a raw food diet much easier. It provides healthy fats and is an excellent source of vitamin E, which is something most Americans can use more of.

On the other hand, nori, a seaweed, is a light, flaky wrap, loaded with minerals, such as iodine and iron, and is nearly fifty percent protein. It fits the superfood category perfectly. Like most dark green foods, it fights aging and disease while supplying few calories. Many people have a hard time picturing it in their diets – unless of course you like sushi, its most noted application. Keep in mind, nori has plenty of other delicious uses and definitely deserves a place at your table.

Another low calorie, underrated food, sesame seeds, is perhaps one of the most important superfoods available. The reason is they provide a much better source of calcium than most other foods, including dairy. Sesame seeds are present in tahini and can be found sprinkled on bagels, but their role in most diets is minimal. This is unfortunate because they contain many essential, healing minerals. Including them in soups, salads, and smoothies will help you glean some of their calcium, copper and magnesium for yourself.

Raw superfoods can be eaten everyday!

In my eBook, Eating for Energy, I list a total of twelve raw superfoods. This means you can eat one or two different ones each day of the week. These are foods I picked for their ability to provide steady, clean energy, fight disease, and keep your body healthy and stocked with all the right nutritional elements. In fact, even if you don’t make the full switch to the Eating for Energy lifestyle, including these foods in your diet will make a difference. They are that powerful.

In my book, I also provide recipes, because I know that one of the greatest barriers to eating something new is that moment of unfamiliarity, in which we don’t know how to prepare or include a food in our diets. I also know how easy it is to become confused or overwhelmed by new information in those first few days and weeks of transition. Eating is a habit. It is taught to us by our parents, and what we choose to consume has a lot to do with memories and conditioning. When you change your diet, you are actually setting out to reprogram your brain. This is not easy.

I fully believe it is absolutely worth it. So many times our habits turn out to be the very things that keep us from reaching our true potential. This is full when we are discussing addictions, such as smoking and gambling, and equally true when we are attached to a poor diet, based on processed, nutritionally dead foods. Breaking away is never simple, but it can be done. If you want to have endless energy, a lifetime of vitality, and look better than ever before, raw superfoods are your best friends. You simply must find a way to bring them into your life and keep them there.

Of course, I would prefer it if you made an even larger transition than that. I would like you to experience the amazing benefits of basing the majority of your diet on raw fruits, vegetables, nuts, seeds, and grains. Eating a food raw can do more for you than any supplemented, designed “health food” ever will. When you base your eating around whole plant foods, you can change your entire life. You change the way you think about food, and, as you do, you begin to understand how food can be your deepest source of healing and connection to life and the earth.

Raw superfoods help everyone!

There truly is something wonderful about eating a thing directly from the earth. When we begin to think about our food and where it comes from, we begin to realize something essential: food does not really belong to anyone. Food was here long before humans came along to claim and cultivate it. Refining and changing it is not only unnecessary, but has proven to be unhealthy. Everyone deserves to eat and to know their food is providing the maximum benefits possible; not slowly poisoning them with pesticides and other additives.

Eating for energy raw means getting back to plain, simple living. Superfoods make a fantastic start. By including even a few of them in your diet and allowing them to replace fast, processed, or animal derived foods, you can begin to experience better health and energy right now.

Nori, avocado, and sesame seeds are only a few of the amazing foods you can use. Remember, I have nine others waiting for you in my eBook, complete with great recipes and plenty of helpful information and advice. Whether you know all about the benefits of eating raw, or you are just getting started, I guarantee you will like this book. No matter what you do, please test these three raw superfoods and see for yourself how energizing and healing they really are!

Eating for energy raw

how can I improve my diet, energy, and well-beingEating for energy raw just makes sense!

When you want more energy, how do you get it? Most people don’t have time to lie down for a power nap, and are for more likely to reach for caffeine or an energy-shot, instead. If this sounds familiar, perhaps it is time you realize these drugs only delay and compound your exhaustion. You tend to need them more and more until nothing can really give you the motivation you need.

After taking them for so long, your days and nights tend to be spent with an overwhelming feeling of tiredness, coupled with restlessness, poor sleep, or even insomnia. It is a state of limbo, wherein you neither wish to sleep, or to be active. It feels terrible, and the more days you spend this way, the more your life slowly slips away. It isn’t right and you don’t have to take it.

Your lack of energy is not due to anything outside of your control. It is not a side effect of aging, and it is not because there is something chronically wrong with you. More likely, you are tired because your current diet and lifestyle is not inline with what is known to be healthy, energizing and healing. You eat a heavy, processed diet, and imbibe caffeine or other “energizing” supplements daily. Your body is out of balance and screaming for something new. Your exhaustion, coupled with an inability to obtain refreshing sleep, is merely one of your body’s emergency signals.

There is a way to break this cycle and get back to strength, vitality, and energy by eating a raw food diet. Raw food is energy food for three reasons: It alkalinizes your body, stocks it with vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants, and replenishes it with enzymes. Without getting these three important benefits from your daily eating habits, you cannot enjoy the life you deserve. Unfortunately, many of us in North America barely even eat vegetables, let alone raw food. I hope that for you, and many others, this is about to change.

Eating for energy raw makes you feel better than ever!

As I’ve already mentioned, the first benefit of raw food comes from making your blood pH more alkaline. What does this mean? It is pretty simple. Your blood pH, like any liquid, is balanced between alkalinity and acidity. In a healthy, energetic body, the blood is alkaline, which allows organs, cells, and the immune system to function optimally, and creates a friendly environment for healthy, disease and parasite-fighting bacteria to flourish. Invading fungi, bacteria, and pests are kept in check, and digestion functions perfectly.

When you eat a diet filled with refined sugar and flour, dairy, meat, preservatives, and other processed food, your body becomes acidic. This is difficult for your digestion, your immune system, and organs, like your liver and pancreas. It causes helpful bacteria to die, and harmful invaders to thrive. Your body becomes more susceptible to illness and your ability to properly convert food into energy is highly compromised.

To make matters worse, processed foods are not only acidic, they tend to be nutritionally deficient and calorie-dense. Not only do they provide fewer nutritional benefits, but your compromised digestive system is rendered less capable of assimilating the nutrition they do provide. You take in a lot of fat, sugar and salt, and have little in the way of substantial nutrients to show for it. Can you see why you might be feeling a little tired?

Tied into all of this is the lack of digestive enzymes in a standard American diet. Enzymes are proteins which speed reactions between cells. They help your body run efficiently, and are present in raw foods to help you digest them faster. You are born with a finite amount, and as they become depleted, your body is forced to pull them from other areas in order to aid in digestion and assimilation of nutrients. This means you age faster and pull energy from your body every time you eat.

After reading all of that, do you still want to live on a processed diet? I didn’t think so. I call my program Eating for Energy, because that is what it is. It is the opposite of how we normally eat; it is more intentional, more conscious, more in tune with what your body wants and needs. That is what makes it special. You can rely on fresh, raw food, not acidifying energy supplements to provide you with all the health and vigor you will ever desire.

Eating for Energy Raw is the lifestyle change you have been looking for!

A high energy raw diet will not only restore your body to its best possible state, it will replenish you with nutrients, heal your digestive system, rebuild your immune system and supply you with age and disease fighting ingredients. You can be as energetic as a child with the wisdom of your years, as long as you use what you now know to bring yourself back to health. Stop filling yourself with processed junk food, coffee, and guarana, and start letting food be your best and only medicine.

When you make the choice to eat mostly raw fruits, vegetables, nuts, seeds, and whole grains, you won’t ever regret it. It is like beginning a whole new lifestyle. As your energy soars, other areas of your life get better, too. You finally have the motivation to plan a vacation, clear out some space for yourself, or start an exercise routine. A lot of what was holding you back is the groggy aftermath of a poor diet. It is completely within your power to choose something better, so what are you waiting for?

You don’t have to do this all on your own. In fact, I wrote a book for people exactly like you. My eBook, Eating for Energy, gives tons of advice, including recipes and menus, to help you make the transition from an energy-less existence to enthusiastic living. Eating raw is really that dramatic, and once you experience it, you will know why. Every time you take in a meal, you will be filled with the knowledge that you are doing something great for yourself. As that food starts to work for you, you will receive the benefits of whole nutrition, enzymes, and renewing nutrients. The longer you stick with it, the better it gets.

What if eating wholesome healing food was as much of a habit as eating potato chips? What if you taught yourself to reach for carrots or apples, instead of candy and crackers when you wanted a snack? Can you imagine the difference that could make in your life? If so, get started. Eating for energy raw is exactly what you need if you wish to have health, energy, and motivation to spare.
