Is Raw Food Diet Energy More Effective Than…
Red bull, coffee, sodas, chocolate?
Unfortunately, those 4 options are very often the “drug” of choice for people searching for more energy. In fact, I get asked all the time, “Yuri, which ONE food will give me more energy?”
My answer…
There is NO one food that will give you more energy than your overall diet! And if you want serious, long-lasting vibrance and vitality than there’s nothing like raw food diet energy.
Instead of spending countless hours searching the internet for the latest energy craze, I’m hoping that this post will FINALLY put things into perspective for you.
Raw Food Diet Energy vs. Caffeine – Who Will Win?
From coffee to energy drinks, we have become a society that has been brainwashed into believing that a quick jolt of energy – perhaps several times throughout the day – is the easiest and best way to have more energy.
I’m here to tell you otherwise.
If you want more energy than frying your adrenal glands with high levels of caffeine and sugar is not the path you want to take.
Sure you might get a quick surge in energy, but when happens when you crash? For most people, they seek out MORE caffeine and sugar to get them back on track.
As you can probably tell, this becomes vicious (and addictive) cycle that does not lead to endless energy but instead blood sugar problems, adrenal fatigue, irritability, and more undesirable outcomes.
Instead of relying on “western” quick energy fixes (that don’t work) why not try some healthier ways to boost your energy? It is not as difficult as you might think.
Raw Food Diet Energy – Made Simple
The key to having more energy is eating some.
You want to eat a high energy diet full of foods that, when combined, give you more energy than a nuclear power plant.
The first key is to not starve yourself. This might sound more like a diet tip, but it has more to do with energy than you might think. Imagine yourself as a machine; if you are given plenty of fuel, you will be able to do plenty of work.
But when the fuel runs out, the machine stops. Your body works the same way. If you want to eat for energy, you need to eat. Don’t skip meals, and if you feel hunger, do something about it.
By that I mean, opt for some fresh fruits and veggies – not a coke!
Harnessing the powers of raw food diet energy is really simple. Just eat more fruits and vegetables in their raw state. It really doesn’t have to be more complicated than that.
Even if you did nothing else to your diet, simply by adding more fresh fruits and veggies, your energy would begin to soar.
Next, avoid sugar and caffeine…duh! While these things can give you energy in the short term, their effects wear off in an awful hurry, leaving you hurtling towards a crash. Wean yourself of coffee and sweets by choosing herbal teas, water, and fresh fruit. Within a short period of time you will find that your energy will become more constant, instead of fluctuating like the stock markets of late.
Want another great replacement for your morning coffee? Load up on leafy greens instead. In the mornings, instead of your usual cup of coffee, try blending yourself a powerful green smoothie and enjoy a wonderful raw food diet breakfast option. Not only will it take less time that a brewed pot of coffee, it will perk you up more than you might imagine.
Another key to enjoying raw food diet energy is getting lots of variety. If you let your body adapt for too long to any one fuel source, the body becomes complacent. But if you continually change what sorts of raw foods you eat, your body will never have a chance to adjust to a usual source of energy. The constant change will keep your body guessing, and keep it on its toes, so to speak.
And since we’re on the topic of energy through raw foods, it would make sense if I recommended not cooking all of your foods if you can avoid it.
When you cook a food, you reduce the amount of energy it has stored within it. That energy is wasted away, burned up in the cooking process, leaving you with a mushy substitute that does less for you than the raw item would have.
By contrast, raw food also gives you instant satisfaction; instead of cooking up a snack, you can simply grab an apple or a carrot, and take a bite. That sort of quick snacking when the energy levels are low can really help you to climb back up and stay up for a longer period of time.
Many of us have been brought up believing that food should keep us full – not to necessarily nourish us. Â Considering that, I think we need to choose foods that, more than ever, make us alert and keep us on our toes all the time.
It just so happens that these very foods have been on this planet since the beginning of time. Our body knows how to handle and process raw foods.
So if you want long-lasting, all day energy than raw foods MUST be a priority in your diet. Because once you experience it, you’ll agree that there really is no comparison to raw food diet energy.
