    Indeed, a raw food diet is healthful, even for athletes. The only issue I see with a raw food diet plan for someone who undergoes a lot of physical effort is maintaining an adequate protein intake to support muscle strength and development. But protein is a weak source of energy, as your body requires twice the amount of protein to produce a small amount of expendable energy. And if there are carbohydrates available, the body will not use protein. So people who drastically cut carbs in favor of protein may end up thrusting their bodies into overdrive. Balance is key.
